Gillian Jacobs is widely known as Britta Perry from the comedy series ‘Community’ jointly produced by NBC and Yahoo! Screen. After “Community,” Jacobs appeared in several episodes of other television shows. She received praise from the public and reviewers for her work in the television programs “Girls” and “Love.”

She made her acting debut with the film ‘Building Girl’ (2005) and debuted on television in three episodes of the popular series ‘The Book of Daniel’ (2006) as Adele Congreve. To date, Jacobs’ most memorable part remains the role of CJ in the 2010 film ‘Noname,’ which brought enormous laurels for her acting and the Method Fest Award in the Best Actress category at the Method Fest Awards.

She received honors for Best Ensemble Acting and Acting Achievement at the Phoenix Film Festival Awards ceremony, continuing her winning streak. In 2012, She was selected for the Critics’ Choice Television Award for “Best Comedy Supporting Actress,” but she took home the prize for Favorite Ensemble.

She was raised by her mother after her parent’s divorce when she was barely two years old. Her current residence is in East Los Angeles. In honor of football player Bubby Brister, her mother gave her the “Bubby.” She abstains from alcohol completely and has never used drugs. She claims that after reading the book “Go Ask Alice,” she decided to make it a point never to use drugs or alcohol again.
