Who is driving Haris Rauf’s development in the PSL 2023?

Haris Rauf, Pakistan’s current frontline pacer and Lahore Qalandars batter, recently credited Babar Azam, captain of the national team, for his improved white-ball cricket performance.

Rauf told a local publication that Babar is the “biggest reason” why he has improved his death bowling significantly since the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.

The right-handed pacer stated, “I strongly believe that the improvement in my performance is due to Babar Azam.”

“Over the past two years, we have played really good and exciting cricket. “Our skipper Babar Azam, who trusted the abilities of players and ultimately gave us confidence, is to be credited with our rise to prominence as a unit during this time, particularly in white-ball cricket,” he added.

Rauf stated

Starting around 2021, Rauf has arisen as the cutting edge pacer in the Pakistan group. Rauf was in charge of the team’s pace unit from the front when the country’s best fast bowler was injured at the T20 Asia Cup the year before

Rauf said that Shaheen is also a great support to him when he was talking about his relationship with her.

“On the other hand, Shaheen Shah Afridi is a fantastic supporter. We have an exceptionally strong relationship, which helps me to continue improving my bowling skills “He stated.

“I was in command of the bowling unit since Shaheen was not in the T20 Asia Cup and T20 series against England,” the Qalandars batsman recalls when Shaheen was ineligible to play for Pakistan. I handled my bowlers properly and took on more responsibilities.

“It wasn’t easy to head the bowling team without him,” he sa>id, “but I was fortunate enough to seize the chance and learn this position from Shaheen.”

In Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8, Shaheen and Rauf are in charge of the reigning champions, Lahore Qalandars. The two pacers have a great relationship with the Qalandars squad, who won its maiden PSL title last year under Shaheen’s leadership.
