Playing Pakistan in Their Own Conditions Is Not Easy: Brendon McCullum

RAWALPINDI: England head coach Brendon McCullum has said that playing against Pakistan in their own conditions is never an easy task.
Speaking at a press conference in Rawalpindi, McCullum said he was delighted to be back in Pakistan, having visited the country several times over the past few years.
“I have always had the opportunity to play some excellent cricket in Pakistan,” he said, adding that the people are extremely hospitable and the atmosphere is superb.
“A strong side”
The England coach described Pakistan as a strong team and said his side would need to adopt an aggressive approach against them.
He also called both Pakistan and Sri Lanka tough opponents in the tri-series. However, he acknowledged that Pakistan hold an advantage playing on home ground and in home conditions.
Adapting to conditions
McCullum said teams must adjust their strategy to suit the circumstances in a tri-series. Against Pakistan, he said, England will have to adapt to the changing situation during the match.
He added that playing Sri Lanka in their own conditions is also far from easy, and stressed that it is the responsibility of professional cricketers to strive to win in every situation.
