Javelin Thrower Muhammad Yasir hopeful of qualifying for Olympics

Muhammad Yasir says that Coach Fayyaz Bukhari is working hard with him.

Pakistan’s number two Asian medalist Javelin Thrower Muhammad Yasir is hopeful of qualifying for the Olympics this year. He says:

“I wish to represent Pakistan in the Olympics along with Arshad Nadeem.”

Speaking on the occasion of the training session at Punjab Stadium Lahore, Mohammad Yasir said that the preparation is very good now compared to the Asian Games and Asian Championship.

I am trying to qualify for the Paris Olympics, because I am competing in the Olympics with Arshad Nadeem. I want to represent Pakistan.

“I want to participate in as many events as possible before June 30,” he said, adding that the federation has assured me of a chance to qualify and has asked me to keep working hard and throw the javelin better.

Muhammad Yasir says that Coach Fayyaz Bukhari is working hard with me, I am getting training individually with the coach because Pakistan Sports Board has not organized any camp so far.

Sports Board has given me accommodation in the coaching center. But camps should also be set up for international competitions so that maximum facilities are available.

He expressed the hope that everything is going positive so far, hope that everything will be fine.
