Tiger Shroff Shot At in Mumbai; Driver Critical, Bishnoi Gang Claims Attack

MUMBAI — Actor Tiger Shroff escaped unharmed after three men on a motorcycle opened fire in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday (October 18) evening, injuring his driver. Multiple rounds were fired at Shroff’s vehicle as he was leaving a venue under the Juhu police station’s jurisdiction. He was reportedly leaving a football ground at the time.

Driver in critical condition

Early reports suggested the driver, identified as Firdaus, had been hurt in the left hand. Later updates from police and medical sources said he had a gunshot wound to the left side of his chest. He is being treated at Cooper Hospital, where his condition is described as critical. A civilian was also injured and taken to hospital. A video circulating online appears to capture at least four gunshots.

Gang claims responsibility

Shortly afterwards, a video appeared online in which a man identifying himself as Anil Pandit claimed to represent the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. He alleged Shroff was targeted for not following directions and for working with Salman Khan, according to NDTV. Bishnoi is jailed in Gujarat and has repeatedly threatened Khan. The post also threatened those who work with Khan, whose home was targeted in a similar attack in April 2024. Police have not independently verified the claim.

Official response

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis contacted the Mumbai Police Commissioner for details of the firing and directed police to speed up the investigation, according to India Today. Police are reportedly searching for the accused.

Pattern of attacks

The shooting follows two similar incidents in Mumbai. In February 2026, five rounds were fired outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s Juhu residence, and the Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility. In April 2024, two men on a motorcycle fired five rounds outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments home in Bandra.
