LOS ANGELES, CA—(June 8, 2009) RotoHog, one of the fastest-growing and most innovative fantasy sports operators and developers for major brands and professional sports, today announced that they have formed a strategic partnership with Sporting News to re-create and run fantasy games for the legendary brand. In a multiyear agreement RotoHog will provide SportingNews.com with multiple games per sport starting with football in late summer 2009.

“Media companies are continuing to place a bigger priority on delivering high quality online gaming experiences, and we are very excited to be able to create new and diverse applications that build upon the success SportingNews.com has achieved with its fantasy gaming products as it becomes even more successful as a digital property,” said Kelly Perdew, CEO of RotoHog. “SportingNews.com will now have a wide, technologically advanced menu of streamlined games to offer its community of diehard sports enthusiasts via social media, mobile and digital gaming platforms.”

“RotoHog’s platform significantly enhances our gaming capabilities. We also plan on adding an array of social networking tools to enrich our site users’ gaming experience,” said Jeff Gerttula, VP, General Manager, SportingNews.com. “RotoHog’s platform was designed with open API’s that allow us to not only integrate our social media tools into the games, but also to surface users’ leader boards and other fantasy information into their mobile devices and on social media sites such as Facebook and MySpace.
